TESTIMONIAL
I wish I could tell you when I began to have a gambling
problem. By the time I realized how out of control I was, it was far
too late. I faced a criminal charge of embezzlement and a possible jail
sentence. My whole world was turned upside down, but even worse was
that I had betrayed my family and employer. The people that meant so
much to me, my wife, children and grandchildren, were embarrassed and humiliated by my actions.
After being charged, I sought the help of Jim Loree. We talked
about how I needed to change my focus, repair relationships I had
damaged and prepare for the future. I had done so much damage that I
didn't think it was possible that I could ever live again like I had
before I began to gamble. I knew I wasn't a terrible person but I had
committed a horrible act. Jim showed me that it was possible to gain
control of my life again and how I could live gambling free. I saw him
for 16 weeks until I went to court and was sentenced to six months in
jail.
After serving three months in jail, I began seeing Jim again
because I knew I needed his counsel. He reinforced what we had talked
about before and encouraged me to seek employment. I interviewed for a position that I have been employed with now for four years.
I am still with my wife, have regained the respect of my
children and see all of my granchildren frequently. As horrible as it
was in August of 2007, it is once again a beautiful life. Thank you Jim
for your wonderful counsel; you are a terrific therapist, but you are a
better human being.
